The fourth official game pack expansion for the highly popular simulation video game, "The Sims 4," is turning out to be quite a hefty update. The "Sims 4: Vampires" game pack includes a myriad of new content that will translate to countless hours of gameplay for all players, even those who are not necessarily Vampire fans.

The brand new supernatural game pack is primarily focused on the iconic fanged being as opposed to including other creatures such as werewolves, witches, and wizards. This focus works with the game however as the expansion itself can fully integrate the different elements that have made vampires so popular in pop culture, as per Sims VIP.

While becoming a vampire via the new vampire life state will grant players with a plethora of supernatural powers, the state itself is balanced out with a bunch of strictly implemented weaknesses. This means that there is still a sense of control over the overly powerful beings within the "Sims" world. Vampires who haven't reached the appropriate level are very much limited in their movements, including not being able to go outside for too long when it is day time.

Vampires can however still kill or weaken any Sim within the game by using abilities such as "deep plasma drink" or "drain life spirit." Various other abilities can also be learned through training with elders. With proper training, new skills, interactions, and occult knowledge can be unlocked. The power points system is akin to that of the ones found on role-playing video games (RPG), which should be of interest for those who want something different within "The Sims 4."

The new "Sims 4: Vampires" DLC also includes a new worldcalled "Forgotten Hollow," which is used as a starting out point for young and inexperienced vampires. More powerful vampires can eventually move out and live with normal Sims when they are strong enough to curb their various weaknesses. The game's build mode has also been significantly buffed up with the addition of hundreds of new items, Victorian-style furniture, and other dcors.

The "Sims 4: Vampires" DLC was released last month, Jan. 24, for both Mac OS and Microsoft PC.
