New EastEnders star Lee Ryan reveals secret movie role that he’s been playing for TEN YEARS – The Scottish Sun

The actor will play Woody in the BBC soap but he's been keep another high profile movie role secret for YEARS

LEE Ryan has revealed his secret film role that hes played for a DECADE without anyone knowing.

The Blue singer has become the latest high profile name to join EastEnders, but its not been his first foray into acting as he revealed in an exclusive interview with The Sun Online.

The Walford newcomer has secretly been starring in the blockbuster Ice Age animated movies in Italy as a possum.

Only last year I finished Ice Age 5, the Italian version. I dubbed the part of Eddie, [Eddie and Crash, the possums] in Italian, he told The Sun Online exclusively.

I did it for Ice Age 2, 3 and 4 as well. I got the part many years ago and Ive just always continued to play it.

No one knows that Ive done that. I dont think people know that in the UK. Its difficult doing it, because I dont speak Italian, but they tell me whatever Im saying and I have to convey that emotion.

Theyll give me the direction, whether its sad, or apprehensive, and then Ill portray that. Its fun.

Lee also told us about his love of acting and how hes always wanted to be an actor.

Before singing I was acting. I was always more into acting than singing. It was the first thing I always wanted to do.

I did a lot of stage plays and musicals, and my first proper acting job was on Holby City when I was 15.

"I also did a film called The Heavy with Vinnie Jones, Christopher Lee, Gary Strethc, Stephen Rea and Shannyn Sossamon."

But now with him on EastEnders, he's set to become a true soap star.

He will play the Squares latest bad boy, Woody Woodward, and is expected on screens within weeks.

Lee said: Im so excited to be part of the show. Woody is the best role I could have wished for.

Hes a brilliant character and its clear hes led a colourful life. Everyone at EastEnders has been so welcoming.
