The great thing about being an Anne Rice fan is how approachable she is. As stated above, she is active on her Facebook page, interacting with her fans on a daily basis on topics ranging from her books, writing, or news of the day. When it comes to how her material should be presented on the big screen, her opinions have been pretty spot on. She's also been willing to admit when an opinion she had was not correct, as was the case with the casting of Tom Cruise as Lestat. Seeing her get the chance, along with her son,to finally control the destiny of her famed series makes me excited to see the end result.

I also think television is the perfect vehicle for the series. Similar to Stephen King's work, her stories are rich in detail, such that a two hour movie will simply have to sacrifice important elements of the story to get the main parts of the story in. Having the series end up on television will allow the producers to flesh out the story, making it more faithful to the books while maintaining the visual quality of her work that fans would expect.
