Think Hollywood is bereft of original ideas? You just might after this. Here's our look at the assorted movie sequels currently in the works.

Sony seems to be pressing ahead with a thirdJump Streetmovie, but the rumoredJump Street/Men In Blackfilm may be off, accoriding to recent interview from Jonah Hill. He's repeated said in press junkets for War Dogs that aJump Streetsequel isn't likely any time soon. Last we heard, Rodney Rothman is back and working on the script (he wrote the second one). It's unclear yet if Chris Miller and Phil Lord can find breathing space in their schedule to direct. If the film does get of the ground, it's expected Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will return.

Weve been talking about is there a way, possibly, we move out of Ancient Greece and use it as a framing device for other conflicts that happened throughout history. The enjoyable action comedy2 Gunsproved to be a box office success, albeit quite a modest one. Nonetheless, it put enough money in the bank for producer Randal Emmett to push for a sequel.

It'll be an adaptation of Steven Grant's comic book,3 Guns, but the immediate stumbling block was the commitment of Baltasar Kormakur to making the filmEverest. After that, if Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg are agreeable, then the film may happen. That said, we've heard nothing on3Gunsfor a little while now, so hopes of this one happening may be dwindling...

Act Of Valour 2- the follow-up to Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh's 2012 war movie - was recently given a kick up the arse. Relativity Studios have brought in Storyoscopic Films to help get the film off the ground. It's unknown at the moment who is returning from the first film, on either side of the camera.

No fresh progress on this one, save for the fact that Steve Coogan still has it on his radar. Coogan is currently penning a follow-up to the Alan Partidge autobiography,I Partridge. After that, his attention may well turn back to bringing Norwich's finest DJ back to the big screen.

"Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created inALIENwithALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began withPROMETHEUS-- and connects directly to Scotts 1979 seminal work of science fiction," the official synopsis for this one tells us.

It continues: "Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."

Alien: Covenantis set for release on August 4, 2017.

AfterAlien: Covenant,there will be"another one and then another one which will gradually driveinto the back entrance of the film in 1979," Ridley Scott is quoted as saying.

"The whole point of it is to explain theAlienfranchise and to explain the how and why of the creation of the alien itself," he mentioned in a different interview.

That's all well and good, but the box office for Alien: Covenant was underwhelming, so I wouldn't count on this just yet.

So, yes - as you heard in the paragraph above - Mr. Scott is plotting forPrometheusto potentially become a four-part franchise. Whether or not this actually happens is anyone's guess.

No, not the London tube station. The second sequel toOlympus Has Fallenwill see Gerard Butler's Mike Banning becoming the target of a terrorist plot. It's believed that the angel of the title refers to Air Force One.Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt are currently working on the script.

TheDivergentseries of movies hasn't really blown us away so far, with Shailene Woodley's performance as Tris the one thing that's keeping us holding in there. CertainlyInsurgent, directed by Robert Schwentke, was a step backward.Ascendantwas slated to arrive in March 2017, butrecent talkhas pointed toward a TV follow-up instead. We'll keep you updated.

Just one flicker of progress of late with regards a newAmerican Piemovie. That came from actress Tara Reid, whohinted in May 2015that talks are underway on a new film, and that it's going to potentially be set in Las Vegas. As for further information? Not a sausage.

The latest Marvel sequel to be announced isAnt-Man And The Wasp.It'll arrive on our screens in July 6, 2018.It's addition to the Phase 3 slate meant thatBlack Panthermoved forward to February 2018, whileCaptain Marvel was pushed back until March 2019.

Peyton Reed is back calling the shots, after this stellar work on theAnt-Manmovie that he inherited from Edgar Wright. Paul Rudd andEvangeline Lilly (now embracing that super-suit from the end of the first film)will return, as well as Michael Douglas, Michael Pea,David Dastmalchian, T.I., and Judy Greeertoo. Joining them will be MichellePfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, the mother of Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne and the original Wasp, as well asWalton Goggins (The Hateful Eight) as Sonny Burch,Randall Park (The Interview) as agent Jimmy Woo of S.H.I.E.L.D. andLaurence Fishburne (The Matrix) as Dr. Bill Foster. Production is under way.

Before the first one has even reached cinemas, UbiSoft and New Regency have announced that Michael Fassbender will return for a secondAssassins Creedmovie. Naturally, we wont know much about the plot until weve seen where the first flick ends up.

A surprise sequel to the modest hitATLis reportedly in the works. The urban drama starred Lauren London and T.I., and the stars have suggested that a new movie is coming. At one stage, T.I. sent out the hashtag '#ATL2 Get Ready', which we and others took as a subtle clue. Warner Bros hasn't officially greenlit the film to our knowledge, though. But there does seem to be some impetus behind this one.

James Cameron has begun one massive shoot that will see fourAvatarsequels filmed at the same time.Avatar 2is expected aroundChristmas 2020, withAvatar 3,Avatar 4andAvatar 5following on every second Christmas after that.

The third and fourthAvengersmovies are on their way, with Avengers: Infinity War currently filming. Captain America: Civil Wardirectors Joe and Anthony Russo took over helming duties from Joss Whedon and the films themselves are expected in April 2018 and April 2019. Thanos is the Big Bad and we know that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be teaming up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

One step forward, two steps back. For years,Bad Boys 3has been beholden to the schedules of Michael Bay and Will Smith in particular. Martin Lawrence has always seemed keen, and a lot more available. However, with Michael Bay wrapped up in the world ofTransformersfor seemingly a lot more of his life, a new director has entered negotiations.NarcandThe A-Teamhelmer Joe Carnahan was taking over onBad Boys 3, but of course now he's out too. As far as we know,Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are still on board. The latest news is that Sony is planning to release Bad Boys 3 November 9, 2018, pushed back from its original 2017 release date, and Bad Boys 4 has been removed from the schedule all together.

Following the successBad Moms, we'll get a spin-off looking at the dads' naughty antics. Because there's never been a film about men cutting loose before. Assuming it's set in the same universe and takes place after the original film, this one's still technically a sequel.

Tim Burton hasn't made a habit of doing sequels, and it's uncertain whether he's finally been convinced to make a follow-up to his '80s delight,Beetlejuice. A sequel to it was mooted after the original was first released, and the noises this time sound conflicting. At first, it was said Burton would direct again, with Michael Keaton indicating he'll be back in the lead role, and as early in 2015, Winona Ryder indicated her involvement too.

But, the latest we've heard is from a rep from Tim Burton denying any progress on the project, denying that the director even considered it to begin with. Bummer. We're keeping hope, though.

Another project that is starting to look doubtful. Eddie Murphy is keen to make anotherBeverly Hills Copfilm, but refuses to deliver an unworthy sequel, like the third entry in the series. While doing press for his new filmMr. Church, Murphy said they still have yet to crack the script.Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were last tapped to direct, with Jerry Bruckheimer on board to produce.

Walt Disney Animation Studios doesn't announce new films until it's good and ready to do so, but rumors persist it's investigating a follow-up to the Oscar-winningBig Hero 6,to be calledBig Hero 7. Directors Don Hall and Chris Williams are both said to be interested.

Baby steps forward again. Chatting to IGN earlier this year,Keanu Reeves revealedthat the film is heading towards the contracts stage and "maybe paying the writers to go and write. There might be some support for making the picture". We hope so, Keanu. He went on to tell Entertainment Weekly that, "It's about the pressure of Bill and Ted having to save the world and it not quite working out...the toll (their adventure) is taking on their families" and the central friendship between our heroes Ted and Bill S. Preston Esq."breaking apart."Alex Winter has also confirmed his return, but we don't know if director Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is still involved...

Blade Runner 2049 is due in cinemas in October 2017.Ridley Scott has handed directing duties forBlade Runner 2over toSicarioandPrisonershelmer Denis Villeneuve. Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have penned the screenplay.

Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Lennie James, and Jared Leto andDave Bautista are all in the cast. Villeneuve has said, "first of all, its not possible to live up to the original. Its Ridley Scott. Its a masterpiece. Its one of the best sci-fi films, one of the best films in the past 50 years. Well, Dennis, you're going to have to try.

The 25th James Bond movie will get a release on November 8, 2019 - four years after the release ofSpectre. It'll arrive a little earlier in the UK, although an exact date hasnt been announced.

Long time Bond screenwriters Robert Wade and Neal Purvis who have been involved with 007 since the Pierce Brosnan era are back to write the next adventure.The director and star have yet to be formally confirmed, but we're expecting Daniel Craig to return for at least one more film.

Legendary screen stoners Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin are reportedly heading for another feature, which sounds like it may be a follow-up to their earlier adventures. The new film will see Cheech and Chong heading to a festival called the Burning Joint. That's all we know right now though, as no fresh information has popped up since the project came to light in mid-2014.

Cult Of Chucky bringsback Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, Fiona Dourif, and yes, everyone's favorite killer Good Guy, voiced by Brad Dourif. The seventh installment of the franchise drops on October 20, 2017.

Zoe Saldana vehicleColumbianadidn't exactly set the box office alight in 2011, but the rise of her star since then has possibly encouraged EuropaCorp to push ahead with a sequel. The family-avenging contract killer played by Saldana will surely return, but we're not sure who she'll be up against just yet.

Its been suggested that Eddie Murphy is indeed in the early stages of puttingComing To America2 together, although naturally enough, theres been nothing close to an official confirmation of this.

Furthermore, Murphy has ruled out such a sequel in the past. The first film, whilst a huge hit, led to a notorious Hollywood court case, with Paramount Pictures arguing that the movie had made a loss.

"Theres no doubt that were making aCreed 2," MGM CEO Gary Barber isquoted as saying, before the first film even opened in the UK. "[Creeddirector]Ryan [Coogler] has some ideas of going forward and backward and actually seeing Rocky and Apollo together," Sly Stallone has tantalisingly teased. Michael B. Jordan has also said that he hopes the film creates a real villain for Adonis. Sly has been teasing the return of Rocky IV baddie Ivan Drago. We're in.

As the great manhimself told us, Jason Statham wantsCrank 3. The writer/directors wantCrank 3. Lots of people keep asking aboutCrank 3. It's presumably a case of getting it funded, and finding time to make it. Surely Chev Chelios deserves one last outing?

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will reunite for more step-father-based squabbles inDaddy's Homes 2, with their characters' fathers, played by John Lithgow and Mel Gibson, now in the mix. The bonding begins November 10, 2017.

Before the first one even reached cinemas, reports circulated thatDeadpoolwas getting a sequel. Ryan Reynold's Wade Wilson - a merc with a a very big mouth - will return for more quips and violent kills, so will screenwritersRhett Reese and Paul Wernick, though director Tim Miller is out. Stepping into direct is John Wick's David Leitch. Michael Shannon is playing Cable in it and the film will reportedlyskewer superhero sequels.

Simon Kinberg has revealed thatDeadpool 3is also in development. Presumably, given the huge success of the first one, Fox want to cut down the gap between films by prepping part three while the second one is in development. Apparently, David Leitch will not be directingDeadpool 3,despite recently signing on for theDeadpool 2. Again, this could be a move from the studio to get Wade Wilson back on our screens quicker.

A sequel toDead Rising: Watchtower,a zombie-focused videogame adaptation that enjoyed a digital-only release last year. The sequel has added Billy Zane and Jessica Harmon to its cast.

AnotherDie Hardfilm is on the way, and it's believed to be aYear Onetale focusing on John McClane's pre-Nakatomi-Plaza antics. Our note to those involved: please make it better than the last one.

A sequel toEnchanted,this one has returned to development at Disney. Adam Shankman (Hairspray) is being eyed to direct.Amy Adams will return, and the story is said to set onAdams Giselle character questioning her happily ever after ten years after the events of the first film, setting off a chain of misfortunes that dramatically changes the real worldand the animated kingdom of Andalasia alike.

Neill Blomkamp's current focus is on his upcomingAliensequel, though that could still be a ways off. But he also has plans to revisit his Oscar-nominated feature debut,District 9. Speaking while on the promotional trail forChappie, he said that "I have every intention" to doDistrict 10, revealing that he needs to find the time to do it, and will shoot the film somewhere other than Johannesburg.

Doctor Strangedirector Scott Derricksontold us exclusivelythat he has plans for a sequel. He described the first flick as "the tip of an iceberg" before citing Christopher Nolan'sThe Dark Knighttrilogy as a perfect example of superhero sequels working well by bringing in a bigger villain (or two).

No progress recently, but Ben Stiller was asked about it a few times while doing promotion forZoolander 2and he genuinelyseemed like he didn't know a sequel had been discussed.Director Rawson Marshall Thurbertold us back in 2013that he wasn't coming back for the next film, and we also heardClay Tarver was said to be working on the script, though I'd figure after the reaction to theZoolandersequel, this one is dead.

Richard Kelly, who directed the original film, is looking to make a new sequel to his cult classic. It won't be this year, as he's got other plans, but it's on the table.

IfKarl Urban still has hope, then we do too! Though we hear this property could be moving to TV.

Relativity Media have brought in Storyoscopic Films to help get a lot of sequel projects going. One of them is the follow-up toEarth To Echo,the 2015 Amblin-esque sci-fi film from David Green. The eponymous cute robot is sure to return, and we presume the young core cast will as well.

Edge Of The Day After Tomorrow?Edge Of 2morrow?2 Edge 2 Morrow?We're not sure what the working title is for the Tom Cruise-starring sequel toEdge Of Tomorrow, but it's probably not any of those. Joe Shrapneland Anna Waterhouse (Race) are on writing duties, with original writer Christopher McQuarrie on hand to executive produce and lend ideas. Doug Liman is back in the directing chair, with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt reprising their roles.

Sony has confirmed a September 2017 production date for its sequel toThe Equalizer. Denzel Washington is back on board to reprise the lead role and director Antoine Fuqua is returning by his side. Richard Wenk has returned to write the script as well.

Even thoughThe Expendablesis heading to the small screen, anda female offering is in the ether, the cinematic juggernaut is set to lumber on. Hopefully not with a PG-13 rating this time.

Work has already begun on the follow-ups toFantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them.J.K. Rowling has penned the script for part two of a planned five-part saga.

Fox, at one time, committed itself to a June 2017 release date for a sequel to itsFantastic Fourreboot. More recently, it looks a lot likethis one's been quitely binned. It's seems more like it's stuck in limbo, while Fox decides what to do next.

WithFate Of The Furioustaking the box office by storm, get ready to reunite with the family a few more times. Fast 9 will supposedly drop in April 2019 and 10 in April 2021.

Fifty Shades Darker steamed up theaters February 2017, and its presumed thatFifty Shades Freedwill follow February 2018. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are returning in the lead roles, and James'husband, Niall Leonard, penned the screenplay for at least the first of the new films, and he and director James Foley are tackling the third film together.

This one could be interesting. Chatting to us earlier in the year, Flash Gordon himself, Sam J. Jones, revealed that the planned remake ofFlash Gordonmay end up being a sequel to the much-loved 80s film.

In the interview,here, he told us that Fox now has the screenplay rights to the film, and that John Davis is set to produce. Jones has met with Fox, and said "we're in talks about that, I'm very excited." We also heard way back in January thatMark Protosevich (I Am Legend, as well as an early draft ofThor) had jcome on board as writer for the proposed film.

Nobody is sure if it's a reboot or a sequel or a bit of both, but filming has recently wrapped on a newFlatlinersfilm.Kiefer Sutherland, star of the original sci-fi flick about a group of investigators looking into near death experiences, is in it. And he says it's a sequel.

Writer and co-director Jennifer Lee is hard at work on the screenplay to theFrozensequel. There's no pressure at all of course in following up the most successful animated film of all time. None at all. Lee and Chris Buck will directFrozen 2, and Peter del Vecho will produce again. As of September, star Kristen Bell said that they were still toying with the script.

A bit of progress on the thirdG.I. Joemovie. D.J. Caruso has been signed up for a while to take over as director (from Jon M. Chu), and more recently, Aaron Berg was hired to take a shot at the screenplay. Apparently, finding space in Dwayne Johnson's schedule is slowing things down.

Ridley Scott confirmed to EW that as well as the possibility of moreAliensequels, hes back on theGladiator2 case.

I know how to bring him back," Scott said of Maximus. I was having this talk with the studio, but hes dead. But there is a way of bringing him back. Whether it will happen I dont know.Gladiatorwas 2000, so Russells changed a little bit. Hes doing something right now but Im trying to get him back down here."

This one still seems like a longshot but conversely, it does suggest thatGladiator2 could suddenly happen. Whether the studio behind it fancies putting it money where Scotts words are remains to be seen of course. We shall keep you posted.

Warner Bros and Legendary were suitably pleased with the reboot ofGodzillathat director Gareth Edwards delivered to the screen in summer 2014. Edwards went straight from that to putting togetherStar Wars Anthology: Rogue One. But after having ventured off into the galaxy, he'll not be returning to helm. That job has fallen into the hands ofMichael Dougherty, who had already joined the project last autumn as a screenwriter. Hes now also directing as well.Dougherty has previously directedKrampusandTrick r Treat.

Millie Bobby Brown fromStranger Thingswill star, alongside Friday Night Lights' Kyle Chandler andSilicon Valley's Thomas Middleditch, and it'll land in cinemas on March 22, 2019.

As you might expect from the title, this film will bring Godzilla (the version from Gareth Edwards' films) and King Kong (the one fromKong: Skull Island) together for a big bust-up. This film is helmed by Warner Bros, and should arrive on screens in 2020 if all goes to plan.

Out of the blue, director Richard Donner revealed a year or so back that he's working on a sequel toThe Goonies. Since then, original writerChris Columbus has revealedthat it's slow going. "We're still searching, but we are searching very hard to try and make it work. But we're not going to let anybody down. If we don't feel it's right, and that's between Donner, Spielberg and myself, if we don't feel it's right, we're not gonna do it", he told Collider. He did confirm that all want to make the film, though.

The firstGoosebumpsmovie is a treat, and Sony wants a franchise. It's signed up all their core cast for sequels, according to aTracking Board report. At the moment, we don't know much about the story, besides the fact that it will follow on from the first one, obviously.

So: it looks like this one is going to be more of a belated sequel than a straight remake. Writer Chris Columbus admits that the newGremlinswill have something in common with the style of JJ Abrams'Star Trekreboots, and that he wants to see the film mix in new and old characters. It may end up being more reboot than sequel, but for now, we'll list it asGremlins 3, until we're told not to. Sadly, it seems as though director Joe Dante won't be involved.

Writer and director James Gunn has confirmed that hell be back for the third movie in the franchise. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3will happen after [Infinity War]," he said. "It will conclude the story of this iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond."

Original Halloween director John Carpenter is producing a new Halloween film, and he recently announced on his Facebook page that Pineapple Express' David Gordon Green is writing the script with his Eastbound & Down collaborator, the actor and writer Danny McBride. They may seem like oddball choices, but Carpenter loved their take, which is said to not be a reboot, but a continuation of Halloween and Halloween II's story. The film will be out on October 19th 2018, according to Carpenter.

A surprise success at the box office, the Jeremy Renner-Gemma Arterton headlinedHansel & Gretel: Witch Huntersis still expected to receive some sort of follow-up. Jeremy Renner's availability is seemingly a delaying factor at the moment. The film was originally set for release in 2016, but that looks like a deadline missed to us.

Recently,there was talkofHansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2getting ditched in favor of a TV show. If that talk turns into an official announcement, we'll remove this one from the list.

A fourth instalment in the previously-headlined-by-Zac-EffronHigh School Musicalfranchise is currently at the casting stage. Its a Disney Channel project, so could end up on telly rather than cinema screens. Jeffrey Hornaday of theTeen Beachfilms is directing.

"Hotel Transylvania 3is going to happen without me," director Genndy Tartakovskytold ussaying,"Two is enough. I have a lot of other ideas and I kind of have to express them and have them come out," but now it appears he's been coerced into a sequel, officially signing on to helm the sequel set for September 2018. Now the franchise can stay on track, as his visual flair was one of the best features of the first two films.

DreamWorks has bought director Dean DeBlois just a little bit of breathing room. The studio had originally scheduled just a two year gap betweenHow To Train Your Dragon 2andHow To Train Your Dragon 3. That would have meant that the latter film was set to arrive next year. However, as things stand,How To Train Your Dragon 3has a release date of May 2018. That's changed once or twice, though, and may well change again...

A script is nearly in place now for a sequel toImmortals, and Relativity Media is looking to shoot the film in India. It also wants Henry Cavill back to star, and Storyoscopic Films have been brought in to help with the movie. We'll let you know as we hear more.

Brad Bird heads back to animation for the first time since the wonderfulRatatouille,and he's already well into the process of getting the Incredibles 2 off the ground.The film is coming June 15, 2018, and knowing Pixar, details will remain sparse leading up to the tentative date.

Disney certainly has plans forIndiana Jones 5.Harrison Ford will return to the lead role andSteven Spielberg will direct again. David Koepp is working on a script, and the film is expected in cinemas in June 2019. No one has mentioned Shia LaBeouf yet.

It took a long, long time to getIron Skyto the big screen - they had a trailer for it long before they had the funds to complete the movie itself - and a successful crowdfunding campaign has meant that a sequel is on the way.

Iron Sky: The Coming Raceis set for release in 2017. Udo Kier will be back, too, and Timo Vuorensola is directing.

Filiming has wrapped on the Insidious sequel and it's coming January 8, 2018.Insidious 4comes as a not particularly huge surprise. The other films have all made some serious dough, after all. Expect a 5th, we'd say.

Theres talk thankfully - ofJohn Wickreturning for a third movie.

Chatting to Entertainment Weekly ahead of the sequels release, Reeves said that I love the character and the world. Whether or not I get the chance to do another chapter is really up to the audience.

As such, ofJohn Wick 3, if they enjoy what we did and hopefully they do, fingers-crossed, I really dig it - but if they do enjoy it, then Ill have the chance to continue the story of the character and the world.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Islandwasn't a bad sequel, and star Dwayne Johnson clearly enjoyed working with director Brad Peyton on the movie. The pair have since joined together for the smash hit disaster flick,San Andreas.

And they still have a thirdJourneymovie on their docket too. TitledJourney 3: From the Earth To The Moon, Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn were said to be working on the script. The film has a tentative release date of June 16, 2017.

Jon Favreau's take onThe Jungle Booklooks to be a hit with film critics and the paying public alike. Of course, then, Disney has put a sequel into production. Favreau is in talks to return to the director's chair.

Off the back of the biggest opening weekend of all time on the planet, Universal inevitably has plans for a newJurassic Parkmovie. Thus far we know that Chris Pratt is signed up for more in the series, and thatJ.A. Bayona is taking over directing duties. Also, Jeff Goldblum is back! Early word on the film says it will be scarier and more suspenseful than the first and is scheduled to debut in theaters in June 2018.

Original film director and producer ColinTrevorrow said he's always envisioned the story as a triliogy and he absolutely had in mind where he wanted to end up while developing the first film. Something tells me Jurassic World 3 is a sure thing.

Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan are still linked to a follow-up to the surprisingly decent 2010Karate Kidreboot, but the project lost director Breck Eisner in 2015. Still, that summer new writers were hired, as Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer took on scripting duties. A new director isn't yet in place, though, and Jaden Smith appears to be ageing out of the role.

Director Matthew Vaughn has delivered the first trailerKingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to the surprise hitKingsman: The Secret Service, and it definitely has us eager to see more.Taron Egerton is returning in the lead role, and the cast also includes Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Elton John and Jeff Bridges.Kingsman: The Golden Circlehits theaters September 22, 2017.

When Halle Berry nabbed a role inKingsman 2,the word on the web suggested that she'd signed on the dotted line for a two-picturedeal. This strongly implies that a third film in the franchise is also being planned, although there's nothing to report in terms of plot just yet.
