If you think everybody's going to survive the All-Out War, think again.

The Walking Dead's eighth season is looming, and the Grim Reaper will be out to claim lives as Rick leads his forces on the attack against Saviors boss Negan.

Steven Ogg, who plays one of Negan's top lieutenants Simon, confirmed as much in a recent interview.

"Yeah, I mean, shit, it's like whenever people say, 'Are you going to die? Or do you know yet?'" he told ComicBook.com. "Yeah, everyone's going to die at some point, right? They all die.

"Yeah, let's thin the herd, man. Let's thin the herd."

We imagine a lot of minor and recurring characters will be offed, but what about the series regulars? Do we need to worry about the fates of fan favourite characters such as Daryl and Carol?

Meanwhile, Tom Payne who plays Hilltop badass Jesus thinks fans will be lapping up the new episodes.

"Season 8 certainly starts with a big bang and then continues to ramp up, which is really exciting," the actor said recently.

"I know the audience will be really happy with certainly how it starts, because they're taking the fight back, and then every single episode in the first half, there's a moment which makes you go, 'Wow, oh my god, I can't believe that'."

The Walking Dead launches its eighth season on October 22 on AMC in the US. It will air on FOX in the UK.
