Jordan Peele Finally Explains What the Tethered’s Plan Was At the End of ‘Us’ – Esquire.com

As a horror film director, Jordan Peele has a knack for creating creepy-as-hell villains that feel like something youve never seen before, but still seem familiar somehow. The Tethered from last years Us are no differentthe red-jumpsuited doppelgngers wreaked havoc on Lupita Nyong'o and her fictional family, eventually taking over the country in a sick recreation of Hands Across America.

So what now? Do the Tethered just keep going Tethered things, like zipping around like human spiders and muttering psycho unintelligibles? At an FYC screening held by Collider last week, Peele had an idea of what the Tethered might be up to after what went down in Us:

Peeles rightwatching the Tethered hold hands and hike through a peaceful-looking mountain range is a lot less terrifying than whats going on in our country nowadays. Regardless, its good to see that Peeles head is still with Usmaybe we could see what a post-Tethered-takeover America looks like someday.
