FAIRFIELD Love is in the air, and on the minds of movie producers as Valentines Day box office openings feature romance.

Liam Neeson stars in Ordinary Love with Lesley Manville. They have been married for many years. Things were fairly smooth until shes diagnosed with breast cancer.They find humor and grace as a way to survive a year of adversity. Its rated R.

The romantic dramaPhotograph centers on the estranged daughter of a famed photographer who is left hurt, angry and full of questions. A photograph tucked away in a safe-deposit box is found and the woman finds herself on a journey delving into her mothers early life, and ignites a romance. The film is rated PG-13.

A Simple Weddingis the story of an Iranian-American woman who falls for an American artist. Her traditional family insists they marry and host a wedding thats anything but simple. Its rated TV-14.

Portrait of a Lady on Fireis set in 1760 France. A painter is commissioned to do the wedding portrait of a young woman who just left the convent. She must do it without the former nun knowing. She observes her by day and secretly paints her at night. Intimacy and attraction grow between the two women as they share the former nuns first and last moments of freedom. Its not rated.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell star in Downhill, the story of a perfect family who barely escapes an avalanche during a ski vacation in the Alps. They are thrown into disarray and are forced to re-evaluate life, and how they truly feel about each other. Its rated R.

Michael Pena plays Mr. Roarke in the horror filmFantasy Island.The secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort.When the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the islands mystery in order to escape with their lives. Its rated R.

Sonic the Hedgehog is alive-action adventure comedy based on the video game franchise that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. It follows his (mis)adventures as Sonic navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound human best friend. James Marsden and Jim Carrey lend their voices.Its rated PG.

Opening in limited release Friday are:

First Lady,which features Corbin Bernsen in the tale of a woman not married to the president, who runs for first lady but winds up getting a better proposal than she ever expected.

The Times of Bill Cunningham,which is told in Cunninghams own words from a recently unearthed six-hour 1994 interview with the iconic street photographer and fashion historian who had a unique relationship with the First Lady Jackie Kennedy. Sarah Jessica Parker narrates. Its not rated.

What About Love, which centers on two young people, somewhat wary of love, who spend a summer together in Europe making a film about peoples attitude toward love. They realize they are actually filming their own love story, but they have no idea that their film will ultimately save his life after tragedy strikes them both. Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia star. Its not rated.

After Midnight,which starts 10 years into a storybook romance with the man waking up alone at home. All thats left is a cryptic note explaining why she left. His life begins to fall apart and triggers the arrival of a creature that crawls out of an old grove on his property. Its rated TV-MA.

Buffaloed,a dramedy about a homegrown hustler who will do anything to escape Buffalo, New York. After getting into some trouble, she decides to become a debt collector and wages war with the citys debt-collecting kingpin. Zoey Deutch stars. Its not rated.

Come As You Are,the story of three young men with disabilities who flee their overbearing parents on a road trip to a brothel in Montreal that caters to people with special needs. A traveling nurse, played by Gabourey Sidibe, drives them across the border. Its rated TV-MA.

Olympic Dreams,which is set against the splendor of the Winter Olympic Games. An intimate and unexpected love story develops between two lonely hearts, each at their own crossroads in life. Its rated PG-13.

The Kindness of Strangers,which is set in New York City where six strangers lives intersect in a modern tale of ordinary people struggling to find help, hope and love. Its not rated.
