Debaloy on casting Mimi and Anirban in Dracula Sir – Times of India

Casting Anirban Bhattacharya in his next Dracula Sir has been a delightful experience for Debaloy Bhattacharya as he says Anirban who was last seen in Dwitiyo Purush is a treat for any director. I dont think anyone other than Anirban could have pulled off the intensely dark character of Dracula. He has a certain swagger, and is a multi-layered actor. Dracula Sir also marks Mimi Chakrabortys return to films after joining politics, so theres definitely an added interest and Debaloy is well aware of it. The talented filmmaker also believes Mimi has been seen in similar roles over the years but this film will be a welcome change. I believe that Mimi has been seen in similar roles in almost her entire film career. She is completely different in Dracula Sir. There is melancholia and vulnerability in her eyes, which we have portrayed in this film. Here she plays a character from the Seventies, added Debaloy. Dracula Sir, produced by SVF, is the story of a primary school teacher who develops a pair of canine teeth earning the nickname, Dracula Sir. As destiny pushes him towards becoming the vampire he has always been referred to, he has a story to tell from 1971 that makes his journey a tale of finding love and revenge.
