World War Z is a horror flick that features Brad Pitt in the main lead. It is directed by Marc Forster and influenced by the Max Brooks 2006 book of the identical name.

The zombie movie arrived in the cinemas on June 21, 2013, and earned recognition for Brad Pitts performance and as a proper restoration of the zombie genre. It was a commercial success, grossing over $540 million and became the highest-grossing zombie film of all time.

Now all the fans are waiting for World War Z 2 for a very long time..

The officials declared shortly after the release of the first movie that a sequel is in the operations, and Brad Pitt and a director were selected for it.

In 2013, it was announced that Juan Antonio Bayona selected to direct the sequel. In 2015, it was declared that the movie would arrive on June 9, 2017.

But there is bad news for the supporters as the sequel is officially dropped. But it can appear in the future. In 2012, director Forster explained that he thinks about the movie as a trilogy.

World War Z 2 canceled because of the different production difficulties. In 2017, Paramount announced that the sequel has not started filming. Later, Fincher was verified as the director of the sequel, with Brad Pitt reprising his character.

The filming supposed to begin in the fall of 2018, but again there was a delay because Fincher was operating on his tv series, Mindhunter. Ultimately, in 2019, the movie was canceled after months of pre-production.
