‘Yummy’ Red Band Trailer: Wild Belgian Horror-Comedy Has Zombies Taking Over a Plastic Surgery Hospital – Screen Realm

U.S. horror-themed streaming service Shutter has released a bloody red band trailer for a nutty-looking Belgian zombie film titled Yummy.

The film follows a young couple that travel to a shady hospital for plastic surgery, and wouldnt you know it pesky zombies! Theyre soon in a fight for their lives when a virus outbreak begins to turn doctors and patients into bloodthirsty creatures.

Zombie movie fans could be in for a fun one here. Its decidedly silly stuff and this is clearly not of the big-budget variety, but if both the gags and guts fly out well, sign us up. This is the feature-debut for director Lars Damoiseaux, who was previously a writer on Netflix crime-drama series Undercover.

Starring Maaike Neuville, Bart Hollanders, and Benjamin Ramon, among others, Yummy will be hitting Shudder US & UK on June 25.

Yummy is an orgy of blood, violence and fun in which a young couple travel to a shabby Eastern European hospital for plastic surgery. The young woman wants a breast reduction. Her mother comes along for yet another face-lift. Wandering through an abandoned ward the boyfriend stumbles upon a young woman, gagged and strapped to an operating table; she is the result of an experimental rejuvenation treatment. He frees her, but does not realize he just caused the outbreak of a virus that will change doctors, patients and his mother-in-law into bloodthirsty zombies.
