Vampire Diaries cast respond to viral fan reaction over finale death – digitalspy.com

The Vampire Diaries may have ended three years ago, but fans are still discovering that ending for the first time and feeling the same intense feelings everyone else did in 2017.

One mother recorded her daughter's strong response to Stefan Salvatore's sacrifice in season eight's grand finale, and it went viral on Twitter this week, both for the daughter's emotional response and her mother's brilliant comeback.

Now two of the show's main stars have responded to that viral video, making an adorable moment even more cute.

Paul Wesley, who played Stefan on the show, replied to the video, stating: "Hahaha this is too good!! Give her a hug from me and make sure she knows I am alive and well."

Meanwhile, Damon Salvator actor Ian Somerhalder retweeted the video and added: "I felt the same way kiddo! But then I realized oh wait, I just saw him yesterday... He's still alive 😉 XO Damon."

Paul's response led to another video from the mother and daughter, making it even more lovely.

Since wrapping up their work on The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley joined forces again for entirely different project: releasing their own bourbon brand called Brother's Bond (because of course it is).
