From surprising cameos to strange horror creatures, there's been plenty of great appearances throughout the show. There's sure to be a few returning guest stars in the future and perhaps even a couple of nods to the original film, as the show has managed to do in past episodes of the FX hit.

Vladislav is one of the original vampires from theWhat We Do in the Shadowsfilm. Played by Jemaine Clement, he's one of the only original cast members to appear in every season of the series.

His last appearance came as the Vampire Council was trying to kill off the gang, after their murderous familiar had wiped out countless vampires. It's certainly possible he will show up again in season 3 to get some revenge.

Viago, played by Taika Waititi is also an original member of the cast and has appeared as part of the Vampiric Council. His original appearance suggested he was the head of the household.

While he has been featured a little in the show, it would be great to see him back and properly classing with Nandor, the head of the vampiric household in Manhattan.

Deacon was the wild guy of the group and had a pretty short temper. He was unpredictable and was certainly an underrated member of theWhat We Do in the Shadows film. He was also seen as part of the Council.

Of the three original characters though, Deacon has probably been focused on the least. It would be fun to even see him as a season regular, expanding on the character further and bringing this world a little closer together.

Jenna was seen in season 1 of the show and briefly mentioned in season 2. It was a shame that comedy actress Beanie Feldstein didn't return in some capacity in the second outing of the series.

What We Do In The Shadowsdemonstrated that the process of becoming a vampire is anything but pretty. Jenna's own gruesome transformation sent her friend, Shanice, to investigate how she actually became a blood sucker. It would be great to see her completed transformation.

While there's plenty of intriguing vampires from across the show, there's also a variety of other creatures, witches and demons that would be pretty interesting to hang out with.

Benedict Wong played Wallace the Necromancer, who was certainly a compelling character. While his methods seemed a little wacky and tacky, he managed to achieve mixed results creating a zombie. There would be a lot more fun situations to create by bringing him back.

Stu was beloved by the original household of the film. The human friend was able to show the vampires a lot about the modern world and they protected him from ever being bitten.

The problem is that he ended up being turned into a werewolf instead. The showrunners have revealed they would love to bring back Stu at some point and it would be great to see him bring a little more werewolf into this new show.

Derek was a member of the vampire hunting gang who unfortunately met an untimely demise. But in this world of magic and monsters, it's probably not the end for this brave warrior.

It's entirely possible that Derek returns as a vampire, perhaps looking for vengeance on Guillermo for leaving him behind to die in the house that they visited in the previous season.

Sometimes Simon the Devious feels like he's out of a completely different movie and that's why the character is so genius. He's appeared in both seasons of the show so far, with an pretty interesting arc developing.

His obsession with the cursed hat is becoming ridiculous, with him always getting hurt in some way. He manages to bounce back each time though and there's sure to be an even crazier appearance from Nick Kroll down the line.

The appearance of Mark Hamill was definitely an unexpected surprise in What We Do in the Shadowsbut a fantastic one nonetheless. His vampire, Jim, was exactly what the show needed.

Innocent yet hellbent on revenge, the character became a great rival to Lazlo who had to leave town just to try to avoid paying his penance, or in this case his small fee for staying at Jim's place. He should return on a new mission to get revenge for the fake fish incident.

Claude is the head of the vampire hunting group inWhat We Do in the Shadows and he seemed pretty put off by his last and only encounter with the blood sucking creatures that killed his friend.

The third season of the show could see him return with a new attitude, or perhaps he's back to his old ways even more determined to put an end to these vampiric foes taking over his city.
