Trailer Round-Up: The 100, Archer and More Got Promos & Teasers the Week of Aug. 16 – CBR – Comic Book Resources

As the 2020-2021 television season prepares to launch,a lot of teasers were release this week, including for such shows asThe 100,The Walking Dead: World Beyond and more.

Here are all the biggest trailers, teasers and promos from the week of Aug. 16, with the exception of those that will be released at DC FanDome. Those will receive their own separate article.

For the past three seasons, Sterling Archer has remained in a coma after being shot in the seventh season of the popular FXX animated series. Subsequent seasons took place entirely in Archer's mind, but at the end of Season 10, the spy finally emerged from his three-year coma. The first teaser for Season 11reveals the world's sensibilities have changed considerably, with his inappropriate sense of humor no longer tolerated as he returns to work as the world's top super-spy.

Produced by Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and Casey Willis of Floyd County Productions, Archer features the voices of Reed, H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash and Lucky Yates. Season 11 premieres Sept. 16 on FXX, with new episodes arriving on Hulu the day after their initial airing.

Open from 1978 until 1996 in Vernon, New Jersey, Action Parkis one of the most infamous theme parks in American history. Dubbed "the world's most dangerous theme park" due to unsafe rides, hazardously inattentiveemployees and guests that did not adhere to established safety standards, Action Park is the subject of HBO Max's next documentary:Class Action Park. The documentary will examinepark's shady history,which resulted in numerous accidents and fatalities before its eventual closure.

Directed and produced by Chris Charles Scott and Seth Porges, Class Action Park debuts Aug. 27 on HBO Max.

While DC FanDome has now been split into two separate events, a new trailer has teased the line-up for Hall of Heroes, spotlighting the films slated to have their own spotlight panels at the online event. The trailer includes teases from The Batman's Matt Reeves and The Suicide Squad'sJames Gunn, hinting at major announcements for both DC Extended Universe films.

DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes will be held on Aug. 22, with the second part, DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, arriving on Sept. 12.

The third and final season of DLC for the popular fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ continues with the reveal of the season's third addition, Master Roshi. A short gameplay trailer shows Dragon Ball's original martial arts master and Goku's mentor showcasing his moves, including the devastating Evil Containment Wave, against Piccolo before goofily celebrating his victory. He'll join the game's roster next month.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Master Roshi will be added to the game as a DLC character this September.

Millie Bobby Brown takes on the eponymous role of Enola Holmes, the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft, and every inchthe cunning detective and formidable fighter as her more famous brother. Defying her brothers' desire to send her to finishing school, a first look at the upcoming Netflix original movie has her run away to London to become her own detective to her older brothers' visible exasperation.

Directed by Fleabag's Harry Bradbeer, Enola Holmes stars Millie Bobby Brown, Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Louis Partridge, Burn Gorman, Susan Wokoma, with Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is scheduled for release on Sept. 23 on Netflix.

The latest teaser for The New Mutants leans heavy on the upcoming film's horror elements as the titular team discover that the asylum they've been confined to brings their worst fears to life. As the mutants attempt to escape, they are each confronted by a particularly horrific sight, with Rahne Sinclair finally unleashing her feral abilities as Wolfsbane when she is threatened. A second, more hopeful promo has the mutants compare their respective powers, while offering a clear look at Magik's pet dragon Lockheed.

Directed and co-written by Josh Boone, The New Mutants stars Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin/Magik, Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie/Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa/Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar/Mirage and Alice Braga as Dr. Cecilia Reyes. The film arrives in theaters Aug. 28.

For most of The 100's final season, Bellamy Blake was presumed dead after being caught in an apparent grenade blast. However, upon Bellamy's surprise return, the longtime character betrayed his friends having become the Disciples' most recent convert. A promo for the season's twelfth episode had Bellamy confront the immediate fallout from this decision, with Clarke Griffin tortured by the Disciples while the villainous Sheidheda solidifies his rule back on Sanctum. A promo for the thirteenth episode has the Disciples arrive on Sanctum, only to encounter the moon's natural horrors all at once.

The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook and J.R. Bourne. The series airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Quibi's revival of the fan-favorite comedy series Reno 911! returns for the second half of its seventh season, with the hilariously inept Reno Police Department back to their misadventures as they attempt to protect and serve the eponymous Nevada city. A new trailer has the cops address "the fake news media," exploding cannabis dispensaries and plenty of armed standoffs as the citizens prove to be just as comedically bizarre as the police.

The Reno 911! revival features the return of creators/stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, along with Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Niecy Nash. It is available now on Quibi, with the second half of Season 7 premiering on Aug. 24.

The early days of the Space Race are explored in the upcoming Disney+ original series The Right Stuff. Adapting the Tom Wolfe historical novel of the same name, the National Geographic production has a group of aviators answer the call to become the United States' first generation of astronauts as they step into the public eye to pilot the Mercury 7 space program and challenge the Soviet Union for outer space supremacy.

Arriving on Disney+ Oct. 9, The Right Stuff stars Patrick J. Adams, Jake McDorman, Colin ODonoghue, Michael Trotter, Aaron Staton, Micah Stock, James Lafferty, Nora Zehetner, Shannon Lucio, Eloise Mumford, Eric Ladin and Patrick Fischler.

The American adaptation of the British television series Utopia is coming to Amazon next month, produced by Gone Girl's Gillian Flynn. The series follows a group of fans that realize that their favorite comic book series predicts cataclysmic global events, including natural disasters and deadly pandemics. Determined to stop the impending apocalypse, as predicted by the comic, the impromptu ensemble teams up with comic's protagonist only to discover she is not all she seems.

Produced by Gillian Flynn, Utopia stars Dan Byrd, Ashleigh LaThrop, Jessica Rothe, Desmin Borges, Javon "Wanna" Walton, Sasha Lane, Farrah Mackenzie, Christopher Denham, Cory Michael Smith, John Cusack and Rainn Wilson. The series premieresSept. 25 on Amazon Prime Video.

The perennially popular Walking Dead franchise is about to get a lot bigger this October, with upcoming spinoff series The Walking Dead: The World Beyond. A new trailer has the first generation to grow up after the onset of the zombie apocalypse leave the safety of their homes to embark on a journey through the outside world where they quickly discover that the living may be just as deadly as the undead as they come-of-age in the ashes of the civilization.

Created by Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman and Matt Negrete, The Walking Dead: World Beyond stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. The series debuts Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.

One of the most buzzed-about panels slated for DC FanDome is Zack Snyder's Justice League, the storied original cut of 2017's Justice League as envisioned by director Zack Snyder before his abrupt removal from the DC Extended Universe film. With the cut slated to be completed by Snyder himself to premiere on HBO Max next year, the filmmaker released a teaser video of the film's DC FanDome panel, showing footage of Superman and the League at the Man of Steel's memorial as well as quick glimpse of Victor Stone before his transformation into Cyborg. A second teaser features new footage of Cyborg and the Flash in action, after someone receives a business card from Bruce Wayne.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarn Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
