The Walking Dead: World Beyond 103 Review: The Tyger And The Lamb – The Series Regulars

Last week on The Walking Dead: World Beyond, we got devastated, breathless, and nervous as Felixs backstory was revealed and our crew, The Endlings, got stuck in the middle of the BOG, aka The Blaze of Gory. This week Hope gets her hero on and Felix and Huck finally meet up with The Endlings.

Lets review!

AMC

We get to know Silas (Hal Cumpston) more in this episode and discover that hes got his own secrets behind his quiet and reserved self. Seen getting arrested and his grandparents assuring Felix that hes a good kid during a flashback in the first few minutes, we were wondering if that was the truth.

Yet, we discover why Silas struggles so much with killing empties. Hes been violent before and doesnt want to resort to that anymore and it also seems as if theres a past figure in his life he cant get away from. Iris actually makes a breakthrough by asking him about his mom and finding connections between the two of themhow they met and their similar interests. The belief that not only Iris (Aliyah Royale) but Elton (Nicolas Cantu) as well, hold in him, really shows that a persons past can be forgotten and they wont be judged for it. Silas earns his stars and more as he realizes that Hope (Alexa Mansour), Iris, Elton, and even Felix (Nico Tortorella) chose to reach out to him and form a friendship. And it sinks in at a pivotal moment when they need him most.

Hope contacts the others through the walkie only when she is too far in, to let them know she is heading for the siren. She takes on this job as bait, feeling as if this is a part of her purpose, something she feels she has to do.

AMC

The others have no other choice but to let her go and make their way out. Finding shelter, they remain there until Hope comes through for them. Felix and Huck (Annet Mahendru) find Iris and the others and Felix discovers that it was all Iris and not Hope that led this mission. Truth bomb for those two! The looks on their faces are satisfying, but only for a short time because worry sets right back in as they wait along with the others for Hope to set off the siren.

AMC

Hopes determination and willingness to set the alarm off for her sister and friends, and even leave behind the trail for Felix and Huck is bravery in and of itself. Its not easy selling out those you care about because you want them safe. Her determination grinds deeply with a side of stupidity. Granted, it isnt about being the hero, but proving ones usefulness and ability to prove she isnt the royal f**k-up shes been deemed as.

And the moment she comes through, and lights up the field? Badass! Still, panic was had. As her bravery shines brighter than everyone else in this episode, there is a great risk that she might die. Yet, Iris finds her at the last second and the two take out their first empties together, almost like having their first drinks together.

While Felix tells them that they would need to take a longer route to get back to the campus, The Endlings disagree. Hope even adds that Felix and Huck can come with. Their solidarity really gives spark to the series, giving, dare we say it, hope. Adding Felix and Huck to The Endlings is something we were hoping for.

Hope admits to Iris who killed their mom. Were sure to experience not only the drama of this but the fallout when it comes to light with everyone. Iris doesnt blame Hope and tells her that they were only kids and they never expected the sky to fall and for everything that happened to happen. And, shes right.

AMC

Elizabeth (Julia Ormund) gets a visit from one of the soldiers that had helped her neutralize the campus colony. Or at least thats what she calls it. Him saying so gets her to turn on all of her appliances including a ceiling fan, stove, radio, and more, proving that they are doing good because they have this and more. The way she says that because of doing what they did, preventing a threat, they get to have this. Still, he doesnt believe it, and neither do we.

We arent surprised that more of the CR showed up to remove him.

We are the light of the world. Elizabeth

A lie for sure. Committing genocide in a world already living in an apocalypse and being able to live in luxury is not only selfish in our opinion but quite disturbing. Yet, as the soldier breaks down and cries after he is dragged out, we see Elizabeth does think about what she does and it weighs heavily on her. Will she ever stand up and do anything about it though? That remains to be seen. Hopefully, she does.
