Dorset Police are appealing for the public's help in finding a prisoner who has breached his licence conditions after being released from jail for robbery.

Christopher Lee Smith, 27, of Weymouth, was released from prison on Monday 28th November 2016 after serving part of a prison term of six years and three months for robbery.

Since his release Christopher Smith has failed to comply with the notification requirements of his licence. He is now wanted by police.

He is described as white, of medium build and with short dark-brown hair.

Police Sergeant Paul Auger, of Dorset Police, said: "I am releasing a photo of Christopher Smith in the hope that someone will know of his whereabouts.

"We know that Christopher often frequents the Bournemouth and Boscombe areas.

"While we have no information to suggest that Christopher presents a direct risk to the public, anyone who sees him should not approach him but immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.

"I'd like to assure members of the public that officers are making every effort to find Christopher Smith as soon as possible."

Anyone who sees Christopher Lee Smith should call the police on 999 immediately. Anyone with other information should call 101 quoting occurrence number 55170014254 or call the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
