FRIENDSVILLE Kevin Michael Thorn, 55, of Friendsville, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

Born Dec. 8, 1965, in Oakland, he was the son of Benjamin Chessman Thorn and the late Brenda Joyce (Malouin) Thorn.

Kevin worked as a dairy farmer and was a member of the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company. He had attended St. Peters Catholic Church. Kevin loved hunting ginseng, trout fishing and hunting.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three children, Talon Friends, Kanan Thorn and Jemma Friends, all at home; fiance, Kayla Sines, Friendsville; three brothers, Christopher Lee Thorn, Finzel, Neil Ray Savage, Williamsport, and Benjamin Thorn Jr., California; three sisters, Margaret Ellen Savage Cosner, Oakland, Lou Ann Savage, Friendsville and Mary George, Oakland; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Thursday, April 22, from 9-11 a.m. At Kevins request, he will be cremated following visitation.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 13, at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Friendsville, at 11 a.m., with Father Tom Gills officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

For safety precautions and according to CDC guidelines, we ask everyone to wear a mask and please honor the social distancing guideline.
