FULL STORY: Two men have been arrested after Longview police said they robbed Austin Bank earlier this month.

Christopher Lee Hutsell, 25, of Overton and Michael Duntae Fagans, 39, of Kilgore each were held Tuesday in the Gregg County Jail on $500,000 bond, charged with aggravated robbery.

Longview police were called about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 9 to the bank in the 300 block of East Loop 281 to a report that two men had come into the building and demanded money from a teller.

Search warrants returned Tuesday offer more details about the robbery.A bank employee told police that a black man had entered the bank, and she greeted him. The man, later identified as Fagans, didnt say much and told the employee he needed to withdraw $10,000, but he didnt give an account number or any other information.

It was then Fagans handed the teller a note reading I Need 50,000 Dollar, from an green, plastic envelope, told the teller he had a gun and put his hand underneath his jacket, pointing at the teller, police said.

After the bank teller emptied one drawer of money and put it into a bag, Fagans directed her to another teller station and said, I want some more money, police said. The teller told Fagans she did not have keys to that stations drawer.

Fagans then took the bag of money and left, police said.

Employees also reported another shorter man, later identified as Hutsell, came into the bank a few seconds after Fagans, police said. One employee told police she had seen Hutsell come in, but he did not look at her while she greeted him and refused help when she offered it.

Police said Hutsell mumbled something like, Ill go to another bank, while the employee was asking if he needed help. The employee told police that Fagans had walked by her, and that Hutsell had turned and ran behind him. They both got into the same car, police said.

Longview police and the Gregg County Sheriffs Office were called about 6 p.m. to LEDCO property near the intersection of Van Street and South Eastman Road, where a car had been abandoned, police said.

Police were able to search the car the next day, finding a green, plastic envelope like the one used in the robbery the previous day.Police interviewed an informant who said he knew Hutsell. The informant told police that Hutsell told him he was robbing banks and that he had just robbed the Austin Bank.

The informant also said he believed that a man he knew as Icy Mike was the second suspect in the Austin Bank robbery, police said.

Police were able to get Fagans fingerprints off of the note he gave to a bank employee. Hutsell was identified in a photo-line up by the informant.
