February is often one of those months you either love or hate. If youre a big Valentines Day fan then you might be heaven, but for others, its a mid-winter month with a confusing number of days. The good news for horror lovers is that quite a few new terrifying and intriguing projects will be released next month!

From Netflixs highly-anticipated adaptation of Joe Hills Locke and Key to the sequel of The Boy, at least February wont be dull.

Locke and Key is based on the Joe Hill graphic novel series of the same name. The series follows a group of siblings that discover a set of magical keys that grant them abilities. Unfortunately, they dont realize that by finding the keys, theyve also triggered the attention of a dangerous demon that will stop at nothing to get its hands on them.

Based on the popular 1970s television series of the same name, Fantasy Island follows a group of travelers who think theyre headed toward a paradise, only to learn that the island is far more sinister than they could have ever imagined.

Since Fantasy Island releases on Valentines Day, its the perfect date night movie for those who would rather skip the romantic comedies. Plus, stay tuned to 1428 Elm for an awesome chat with the movies makeup and hair designer!

The Lodge is a haunting new horror film led by Riley Keough. The movie received rave reviews after premiering at Sundance last year and will finally be released theatrically this month.

Its a psychological thriller following a young woman taking care of her stepchildren in a reclusive lodge in the dead of winter. While there, she begins to unravel dark secrets from her past that threaten to haunt them all.
