‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Lucy Hale Heading New Horror Film – 1428 Elm

It had a successful run, but Pretty Little Liars has just about run its course. It is now currently in its seventh and final season. The mystery of who A is has been revealed and Freeform is now in the process of bringing the long-running story to a close.

But this isnt the last we are going to see from the girls on the show. Deadline reports that one of its leading actresses Lucy Hale is already getting some more film work. She will be starring in Truth or Dare, a new horror movie coming from Blumhouse Productions. Thats the studio behind recent horror hits like Get Out and Split, which is very promising for the new flick.

The story centers on a game of Truth or Dare gone terribly wrong. On vacation in Mexico, an unfortunate college student winds up playing a supernatural version of the game. And apparently the game follows her back home when she attempts to quit playing. This vague plot description is all were getting for now.

Jeff Wadlow is directing the film, using a screenplay co-written with Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs. The idea is based on a story conjured up by Wadlow, Roach, Jacobs, and Michael Reisz. Wadlow previously wrote and directed Kick Ass 2 and also served as a Bates Motel writer.

This isnt Hales first foray into horror, because she has a great cameo at the start of Scream 4. Additionally, her PLL co-star Shay Mitchell is starring in her own horror film this year too. Perhaps the horror genre is going to be a natural transition for the stars of the Freeform series.
