Starlene Star Hainley, 57, of Columbus, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Star was born February 23, 1963, in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Patricia Coomer and Jackie Thompson.

She loved thrift stores and yard sales. She was passionate about animals, especially cats. Star loved music of all kinds. Some of her favorite artists were Cyndie Lauper, Madonna and Blue Oyster Cult. She loved her scary movie classics and Halloween. Star went to cosmetology school and enjoyed doing makeup. Pepsi soda was her favorite drink of choice. Star also enjoyed flying and airplanes but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Natasha Feese, Patricia (Jeffrey) Curtis, both of Columbus, Jonathon (Olivia Bradley) Hainley of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ava Gerhard, Tyus Johnson, Collin Keller, Andrew Curtis, Angela Hainley; mother, Patricia Coomer, father, Jackie Thompson; siblings, Tammy, Debbie, Chrystal, Jimmy, John; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jaqueline Thompson.

In keeping with the familys wishes, cremation will take place and there are no services planned at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
