Of course, beloved characters are made in numerous ways, including strong writing, directing, casting, and acting. The latter is (obviously) particularly important. Their real life stories are just as interesting. These are ten things you didn't know about the cast of The Walking Dead.

His paternal grandfather was a violin prodigy named Murray Bernthal. One of his brothers, Nicholas Bernthal, isan orthopedic surgeon and a professor at UCLA. But perhaps most interesting is that his other brother, Tom Bernthal, is currently engaged to Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Sandberg is estimated to be worth nearly $2 billion.

Steven Yeun was born in Seoul, South Korea and was given the birth nameYeun Sang-yeop. When Yeun was still young, his family moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada before relocating to Troy, Michigan. It was here that Yeun was raised, graduating from Troy High School in 2001. He only adopted the name "Steven" after his parents relocated to America, as they met a doctor with the name and decided that they liked it. Yeun looked to follow in his namesake's path, studying neuroscience in college. However, the call of the screen proved too alluring.

She remained there throughout much of her early life, and it was there that she attended and graduated high school. However, she returned to the United States for school, attending Minnesota's Macalester College and the Tisch School of the Arts.

It's an amazing feat that Michael Rooker and his wife are soon to hit the 50-year milestone. Rooker married Margot Rooker on June 22, 1979 when Rooker was just 24 years old.
