3 things we want to see from Aaron in The Walking Dead 1016 – Undead Walking

Having been on the show since season five, Aaron has become a fan-favorite character thanks to his hopeful outlook and fighting spirit. While he is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, he is also a caring father and friend. It is because of all these admirable traits that we have big expectations for Aaron going into the season 10 finale of The Walking Dead.

Aarons already had some big moments in season 10, and it seems like hell be right in the middle of the action as the season comes to a close. Lets take a look at three things we want to see from the former Alexandrian in episode 1016!

With a massive battle against the Whisperers looming in the season 10 finale, theres no escaping the fact that the survivors are going to suffer some losses. While we know that Aaron and Alden are able to successfully fight off the Whisperers threatening them at the end of episode 1015, that doesnt mean Aaron is in the clear for the rest of the episode. The survivors still have to deal with the thousands of walkers surrounding the abandoned hospital that theyre trapped in.

Knowing Aaron, he will do whatever it takes to make sure his friends and loved ones survive. After all, Aaron is one of the few remaining survivors with a kind and caring soul despite all he has been through, even if he struggled with his rage throughout season 10. Losing Aaron would be devastating for both characters and fans alike, so hopefully he finds a way to make it out alive.

In the preview of the season finale, we see Aaron and Alden fighting against the Whisperers that surrounded them at the end of episode 1015. After they finish off what seems to be the last one, the two are confronted by a masked person wielding two blades. While the masked characters identity remains a secret (Is it Maggie or Connie? Or perhaps someone new?), it would be a wise move for Aaron to convince them to help in the battle against Beta and the Whisperers.

The fact of the matter is that the survivors need all the help they can get to fend off Betas horde, and the masked figure is obviously very skilled in combat. Aaron is a nice guy who managed to convince Mary to defect from the Whisperers, so why couldnt he use his diplomatic skills again to gain a possibly valuable ally?

Among the most wholesome relationships in the show currently is the father-daughter duo of Aaron and Gracie. Having lost so many loved ones throughout the apocalypse, Aaron treasures his daughter now more than ever. Gracie is currently trapped in the abandoned hospital alongside the rest of the survivors, which will certainly worry Aaron.

In a season that has been so focused on trauma, PTSD, and loss, seeing a heartfelt moment of Aaron reuniting with his adopted daughter would bring some much-needed levity to the episode and season. Fingers crossed that Aaron finds a way to safely meet up with Gracie once the final battle of the Whisperer War is all over.

No matter what happens in episode 1016, Aaron will clearly play a significant role in what goes down. Whether he survives the episode and accomplishes the goals listed here remains to be seen. What we do know is that October 4 cant come soon enough.
