Does Maggie die in The Walking Dead? – Undead Walking

Maggie Rhee fka Greene was first introduced on The Walking Dead series in season 2. She was the daughter of Hershel (Scott Wilson), whose farm Rick (Andrew Lincoln) took Carl (Chandler Riggs) to when he was shot and needed care. Maggie took off on horseback to retrieve Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), who was unaware that her son had been shot.

Portrayed by Lauren Cohan, Maggie would be the lone survivor of her family after her fathers death in season 4 and sister Beths (Emily Kinney) in season 5. She suffered greatly, and this did weigh on her for quite some time, but she rallied with the help of her husband Glenn (Steven Yeun) and her newly formed apocalypse family.

She would eventually become pregnant, a child who would carry on her family legacy, and would then suffer another blow with the gruesome death of her husband. Soon after her sons birth, whom she names Hershel after her father, she leaves the communities.

The Walking Dead has eight remaining episodes until the series is complete and Maggie Rhee is alive and well. Though Cohan did leave the series for a time, she returned in season 10. Maggies fate has been secured with the premature announcement of a spinoff series that will pair up Maggie and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) titled The Walking Dead: Dead City.

During the years she was gone, she and her son worked with Georgies (Jayne Atkinson) group to help plant new communities. They were hounded by a group called the Reapers who would attack and destroy what they built, requiring them to move on.

When she arrives just in time to save Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) from The Whisperers, she has some new friends, the Wardens, with her. This results in season 11 beginning with a war with the Reapers to retrieve much need food stories for Alexandria. This is also a mission of revenge for Maggie and her group for all the lives the Reapers took from them.

On October 2, 2022, AMC will begin airing the last episodes of the series. Maggie and the others will unite to battle the new enemy, the Commonwealth (CW). In the season 11 midseason finale, the CW, led by Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton), took over Alexandria, Hilltop, and Oceanside. It will be exciting to see how this series concludes.
