The outburst from Donald Trump corroborating his initial belief that many sides were to blame for the fatal violence in Charlottesville sparked by white supremacists last weekend has sent shockwavesreverberating around Hollywood.

One person in particular who refused to hold back in his criticism of the President was Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the actor behind The Walking Dead's baseball bat-wielding maniac, Negan.

F*CK YOU, Morgan wrote on Twitter, continuing: Seriously. F*ck you for everything. Today? F*ck you for making us have to explain racism to our children.

The violent clashes which occurred last weekend saw white supremacists marching in the streets holding flags bearing swastikas with one driving a car into a crowd of people which killed one lady and injured many who were counter-protesting Nazism.

Trump courted further controversy after his initial inability to condemn the display of hate bluntly with a press conference earlier this week in which he defended his initial comments, pointing blame at the so-called alt-left counter protestors.

Late night hosts took aim at Trump with Stephen Colbert listing all the minuscule things Trump has taken issue with over neo-Nazism.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC for its eighth season - and 100th episode - on 22 October
