THE WALKING DEAD Exclusive: WORLD BEYOND Actress Parallels Kids In The Show To Kids Growing Up In Quarantine – CBM (Comic Book Movie)

The second spin-off ofThe Walking Dead,titledWorld Beyond,aired in 2020, followingFear the Walking Dead's footsteps.While the series was met with a mixed reception, with some fans refusing to watch it and others being pleasantly surprised with the story, it is set to premiere a second season later this year.

What setsWorld Beyondapart from the other two shows in the growingWalking Deaduniverse isthat the protagonists are younger characters who have only known life after the apocalypse.

We recently spoke with Catherine Taber, who portrays the character of Mrs. Plaskettin the series. As we chattedabout the show's plot, the actress made comparisons towhat the kids are going through inWorld Beyondto what young children are experiencing with today's quarantine situation.

"World Beyond was beyond exciting; I'm a huge SciFi fan. I love The Walking Dead. I didn't know much about the showwhen I worked on it, butit was an amazing experience. I love how Halplays my son, and it's such a great show. I wasn't watching a lot of stuff, actually; during the quarantine, I know many people have been bingeing; I've been the opposite, but I was watching that because I knew I was coming up, and I just wanted tobe up to date. And I got really excited because I got so into the show. I love the characters.

It's a different way of looking at the apocalypse, and it's the after andthese kids, they have grown up, and that's all they know. And again, that's even an intriguing thing right now, when you think about what's happening right now, there's going to be kids that like, this is their normal. It's fascinating to look at it from that perspective, but the young actors on that show are just so great and everyoneinvolved. Again, Ifeel super blessed to say, now I'm a part of that franchise too, and I'm not dead. So..."
