Ice-T filmed a Prohibition-era vampire movie in Montco, and you can see it next week – Philly.com (blog)

Actor and rapper Ice-T already made his mark on world of horror with 2000s Leprechaun 5: Leprechaun in the Hood, but he will soon return with Bloodrunners, a Montgomery County-shot horror flick set to premiere in Pennsylvania this month.

The flick, which stars Ice-T as a vampire named Chesterfield, will screen Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Montgomery Theater. Producer Adam Danoff tells the site that the upcoming showing will be the first screening of it that is for sale to the public. Tickets are currently available online for $13 each.

Paoli-based director Dan Lantz filmed the movie throughout the Souderton area, Montgomery News reports. The Montgomery Theater, where it will screen, served as a shooting location, along with local businesses such as the Exhibit B Gallery and the Pizza Parlour. Additional scenes were shot within a 10-mile radius of Souderton, Lantz said.

The film itself is set in a 1930s-era town during Prohibition, and rides the line between crime drama and vampire movie. In it, The Networkers Michael McFadden works as a crooked cop who discovers that Chesterfield (Ice-T) is a bloodthirsty vampire and must find a way to save his town before it dries up, according to promotional materials.

Following its screening in Montco, Bloodrunners will head to DVD and Blu-Ray March 7. It will also be available to view via iTunes, Google Play, Steam, Xbox, Playstation, and other streaming formats.
