Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer know that there were many incredibly strong characters on the show. Here's how they'd do in a zombie apocalypse.

Before there was the CW's Arrowverse there was the WB's Buffyverse consisting of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. Fans of the popular television shows will remember the crossovers and how the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer led into the spinoff Angel.

Back in the 1990s fans weren't so used to supernatural shows dealing with vampires, werewolves, and zombies. Now televisions are saturated with zombie films and television shows all set in similar apocalyptic towns. So just which Buffy The Vampire Slayer character would you want by your side in case of a zombie apocalypse?

What isn't to like about Giles, not only does he have fighting demons and vampires in his blood butalso is able to chronologically place each book in your library in the proper place. He has years of knowledge of the occult and for a librarian is pretty capable with a stake if the matter calls for it.

He just has that cool and collected nature about him that would be perfect in times of crisis. Making him one of the perfect people to be paired up with when zombies come looking for some delicious brains to munch on.

It isn't that Xander was ever a terrible member of the Scooby Gang, it is just that compared to the other members he lacked the powers or knowledge to really hold his own without someone else's help. Does he have the wit to keep things cheery during a crisis?

Of course, but besides a few hit or miss jokes to ease the mood, he just isn't someone a person would want by their side during the zombie apocalypse. The only plus to having him in a zombie-infested world was that he lacked the brains to attract the undead.

If one needed someone to carry their own weight during a zombie apocalypse, Willow Rosenberg would be the perfect candidate. Like Giles, Willow is book smart, capable of finding the information needed to hold off attackers with formerly unknown black magic. While also being able to shoot and stab her way to safety if the situation calls for it.

Her abilities as a witch would also come in handy as she could just place a protection spell over a person's house, keeping the zombies at bay. Basically, making whatever is going on in the outside world inconsequential.

Having a former witch and current demon on your side during the zombie apocalypse would normally sound like a smart bet but on the other side of the coin, one could say trusting a former witch and current demon during such an apocalyptic event would be unwise.

Anya, who is the patron demon of scorned women isn't exactly someone that doesn't hold a grudge. In fact, she has made a living for a thousand years doing just that. So one would have to be mentally insane or just flat out incompetent to trust her withtheir life.

Daniel Osbourne has a number of things going for him that would make him the perfect partner to have during the zombie apocalypse.

One, he can play a mean guitar, scaring off endless hours of boredom when shut up in a boarded house with zombies outside the door, and two, he is a werewolf capable of ripping hordes of zombies to shreds at a moments notice. So, if one is surrounded by zombies with virtually no means of escape, Daniel could easily clear the way to safety, making him quite useful.

Dawn Summers is powerful in her own right. In fact, she is so powerful that she could bring down the walls of reality with a single temper tantrum. With that said, she also has the mindset of a teenager and hasn't ever proven herself to be a valuable member of any team.

So, while she has all the potential in the world, she just doesn't have the mindset to successfully maneuver around a zombie-infested world. In the end, she would be more of a nuisance than an asset as a partnerduring the apocalypse.

Unlike her powerful, yet potentially destructive time-bomb of a sister, Buffy Summers has thetemperament needed to withstand any crisis. She is deadly with any weapon at her disposal and is capable of taking down even the strongest enemies with a few leg kicks.

Overall, she herself is a weapon that just needs to be pointed in the right direction to be an effective tool or partner during a zombie apocalypse. Add that with an exuberant personality and one just couldn't go wrong having her by their side during troubling times.

For most of the show, Cordelia Chase acted as a pseudo-antagonist towards Buffy. She is annoying with her constant berating of those around her, especially when she feels she is of superior quality to them. While she does have the ability to use strong magic, she rarely uses it to anyone's benefit.

Instead, preferring to run when things start to turn sour around her or when danger is present, making her a terrible teammate when fighting off hordes of zombies. Listening to her whining for more than a few minutes would make getting eaten by zombies appealing.

Spike might not be one of the more reasonable characters on Buffy The Vampire Slayer but no one, not even Angel could question his abilities as a vampire. He is a survivor and isn't afraid to do what it takes to make it through any situation, no matter how dire or lost it may seem.

This fighter mentality makes him a suitable teammate during a crisis on the scale of a nearly apocalyptic nature. Though trusting such a person with one's life would need to be the only question a person has when joining up with him.

To put it bluntly, Wesley Wyndam-Price is the generic version of Rupert Giles. He might be capable of handling his own during a crisis but he lacks the expertise in the field of magic to really consider him a master of the dark arts.

Unlike Giles, Wesley can be irritatingly pretentious, some might even say a know-it-all. In the line of duty, he just makes way too many mistakes letting his heart more than his brain do most of the thinking, which usually results in a bad, miscalculated judgment call.
