For The Vampires Wife founder Susie Cave, a great dress can stop time. Weve seen this modest ambition occur before when the Duchess of Cambridge wore Caves emerald lam Falconetti dress to pull a pint of Guinness in Ireland a style moment later commemorated in a painting now hanging in the National Portrait Gallery. This weekend, time stopped in a different kind of way, as The Vampires Wifes inner circle gathered in a London park to watch the designers husband, Nick Cave, and his band, the Bad Seeds, light up All Points East festival. There were great dresses, of course. But also wildly cool merch-inspired tees from the brands new Matchesfashion.com collab (winter wedding? Snap up those sequins). For Cave, the concert not only presented a chance to see her friends frolic in a field wearing her signature polite ruffles, it was a historic night.

Young people are simply able to be young people again, notes Cave, who says the crowds at Nicks European tour dates have been phenomenal as a result. The audience just falls into songs, like Bright Horses from Ghosteen, and are literally in tears. By any measure, its a religious experience.

The crowd the guest list chose us! Everybody wants to come to a Bad Seeds concert and The Vampires Wife party! was also an opportunity for the couple to celebrate their successes after an intense period of work.
