On the whole, I thought I would, though it would have meant leaving everything I found dear. "If only there were some way to prevent this," Eric said. "But I don #39;t know of any way, and I can #39;t tear you away from your life." I didn #39;t know whether my heart was ripped in two, whether I felt anguish or relief.
