In last weeks episode ofSupernatural, three mothers came to terms with difficult decisions. Now, the Winchesters are back to business in The Raid, which will feature a lot of no-good, bad, biting vamps.

If youll cast your mind back, remember that Rowena and Crowley are fuming at each other (to be fair, Rowena sent Crowleys son, and her grandson, Gavin MacLeod, to his certain death whilst crossing the Atlantic), Kelly Kline has a new demon caretaker and Mary admitted to her involvement with the British Men of Letters. Whew!

You can check out the foreboding sense of dread that accompanied that announcement below.

So it looks like Mary may join the ranks of Winchesters who dont speak to each other and cast angsty glares around the place. But in the meantime, theres serious vampire trouble, and the three have to set aside their differences to step in.

To quote the IMDB description of The Raid, the episode centers around just that.

Mary and the British Men of Letters have a chance to take out a nest of Vampires, but the alpha-vamp turns the tables on them.

The alpha-vamp is no new character, if youll cast your mind back toThere Will Be Blood, Family MattersandLive Free or Twihard. Actor Rick Worthy is returning this Thursday to glide around entrancingly. According to Supernatural Wiki, the alpha vamp possesses powers most of his kind dont. Hes resistant to pain, has retractable claws and a penchant for designer suits. Nice.

Episode writer Robert Berens previously pennedRock Never Dies,The FoundryandAlpha and Omega. Director John MacCarthy has tried his hand atSupernaturalbefore, withAsk Jeeves,Rock and a Hard PlaceandThe Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo. He might be a great pick, considering that season 7 is the last time we saw a vampire situation this bad.

What do you think? Is Sammy the Vampire Slayer enough to tackle a nest this dicey? Let us know in the comments!

Supernaturalairs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW, a time change from previousepisodes this season! Be sure to tune in!
