Last week onThe Vampire Diaries, Cade was not happy that Damons newfound emotions were making him question the devils orders. Now Cade has to deal with the fact that his other new servant is human.

Without any more supernatural abilities, Stefan is of no use to Cade, and it is doubtful Cade will react well to this news. So it is up to Damon to make a new deal with the devil to save Stefans soul. Given how most deals with Cade this season have played out, it is hard to imagine this plan going remotely well for Damon.

Here is the synopsis for the episode, What Are You? from SpoilerTV.

SAVING SOULS In order to save Stefans(Paul Wesley) soul, Damon(Ian Somerhalder)makes a deal with Cade(guest star Wol Parks)to retrieve the Maxwell journal. Alaric (Matt Davis) and Matt (Zach Roerig)refuse to hand the journal over as it may contain the key to destroying Cade. Caroline (Candice King) desperately tries to connect with Stefan before Cade goes through with his plan.

Now that Stefan is human, he will probably spend a large chunk of the episode on his own apology tour. It is hard to imagine Bonnie ever forgiving Stefan for killing Enzo, and now that she likely has her magic back, Stefan better watch out.

Then there is Caroline. Out of all of the vampires onThe Vampire Diaries, she is the one who has thrived the most since turning. But now that Stefan is human, it will be interesting to see if Caroline considers taking the cure as well.

In non-Salvatore related drama, Alaric is back this week. Matt and him are trying to keep a Maxwell journal away from Cade. This probably explains why Matt is in a hospital bed in one of the promotional photos. It also looks like their will be another history lesson on this weeksThe Vampire Diaries.
